What is the difference between UK and US universities, well apart from that in the USA people spend longer in University than in the UK for a similar education? Are grades comparable? and do HR people in the USA understand the UK system?

USA

Grades:
UK

 - Third-class honours – typically 40 – 49%
 - Without honours – awarded an ordinary degree, sometimes known as a “pass”
