US Visas

So as some may be aware I’ve had two rejections from the US Embassy in the UK for a US visa, although I have always had proof for the fact I intend to return to the UK if only to apply for residency. I am Married to an American for those that are not aware! Even though I have proof, and my wife is now seeking a Visa to remain in the UK, I decided to be lazy and ask CHATGPT to come up with reasons for why I should remain in Scotland, and here are the answers:

Here are some compelling factors:

  7. Public Transport: Efficient public transportation systems, including buses and trains, make it convenient to navigate and explore the country without the need for a personal vehicle.
  8. Work-Life Balance: Scottish cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow offer a more balanced approach to work and leisure, promoting healthier lifestyles and well-being.
  9. Community and Friendliness: Scotland is known for its welcoming and friendly atmosphere, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

  13. Political Landscape: Scotland’s political climate and perspectives may align better with some individuals’ values and beliefs.
  14. Cost of Living: Depending on the region, the cost of living in Scotland can be more affordable than in certain areas of the USA.
  15. History of Innovation: Scotland has a history of contributing to innovation, from engineering to scientific advancements, making it an appealing destination for professionals in various fields.
  16. Language: English is the primary language spoken in Scotland, which may be advantageous for English-speaking individuals looking to settle there.
  17. Food and Drink: Scotland offers a unique culinary experience, with traditional dishes like haggis and a burgeoning craft beer and whisky scene.
  18. Outdoor Activities: Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate Scotland’s diverse terrain, offering opportunities for hiking, cycling, kayaking, and more.
  19. Diverse Housing Options: Whether you prefer city living, rural landscapes, or coastal retreats, Scotland offers a wide range of housing options to suit different preferences.
  20. Global Perspective: Scotland’s international outlook and welcoming attitude toward immigrants can make it an attractive choice for those seeking a global perspective and multicultural experience.

I want to visit my inlaws and my Step Daughter, so I am going to use this as part of my next VISA application, although I do feel that VISA’s to the USA is a truly capitalist thing, I wonder if when Scottish independence happens what the USA will say when we Start vetting visitors? Oh and Yes, I am working to make that a thing!
