I just thought I’d jot this down, for people wondering what I am currently playing with, and where I see that evolving in the future*
Firstly I am playing a Harley Benton 8 string guitar, which is plugged into a Likato WS-100 transmitter, this goes directly to my Sonicake 4th dimension pedal then into a Sonicake Volwah pedal, and then into a Mooer Prime P1. Now the Prime P1 has got a complete AMP Simulator built in but I still run that out to a Boss Katana Mini. Forget needing 4x12s and marshall or Peavey stacks, Technically I don’t even need the amp. But I like it.
The guitar is currently using Ernie Ball 10’s super slinky (old habit)
Next additions: I am pondering replacing the Mooer with a Sonicake Matrixbox for live work, I need to re-add either a six-string or seven-string and maybe a semi-acoustic.
For those that have heard me live solo, I love big expansive reverbs, lots of flanger, and blistering lead sounds, am I achieving that at the moment? Yes, I do have ideas to improve it though.
